It's nice to see someone think
positively about the American voting population. I don't give them
anywhere near that much credit. Bottom line is that we have a GOP VP
candidate that will energize the evangelical base. She wants
creationism taught in schools, wants to ban books, looks to god for
political direction, is very good looking through her botox'ed cheeks
and is a jesus-bully in the first degree.
The question isn't whether the many reasonable voters will see through the political trickery of the McCain campaign, but if the 15% of the nation that votes in whatever manner their authority figure (pastor, grandfather, sergeant) tells them to will be bussed to the polling stations on November 4th and if there will be enough black inner city voters bussed to polling stations to nullify the religious white rural votes.
Winning elections isn't about logic or analysis or frankly using your brain at all, elections are about crazy white rural religious folks registering to vote and urban blacks not registering to vote. That is what will decide this election. If it was up to logical analysis and reasonable people, we would never have needed to suffer through 8 years of dubbya.
